Jimmy Graham Says New Orleans Saints Have Shot At The Super Bowl In Interview
The Who Dat Nation has opened their arms and welcomed back a prodigal son this season to help the Saints win another championship.
Jimmy Graham attended the University of Miami on a basketball scholarship from 2005 - 2009. He stayed at the university to take graduate classes and played football in 2009 for the Canes. He finished the season with 17 receptions for 213 yards and 5 touchdowns.
He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
This just goes to show you the genius that is Mikey Loomis. He takes a big chance on a career basketball player who played one year of college football. When you pick someone in the third round you're expecting that player to make the team and contribute in some way that season.
A player that probably wasn't on any other team's radar, expect maybe offering him a UDFA camp deal after the draft, became the best TE in Saint's history.
In his five seasons with the Saints, Graham amassed 4,753 yards receiving and had 51 touchdowns.
Recently Jimmy was a guest on The Pat McAfee show. Not only does he have a crazy offseason life full of landing Vietnam era helicopters on barges in the water and flying racing airplanes, but he said that the year off of football was the best decision in his life and he feels healthier than ever.
Graham also went on to talk about the new look Saints and said they have a really good shot at the Super Bowl this year.
