Janis Joplin is already a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and now the late singer is getting her due in Hollywood. She’s been named as one the inductees into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The singer, who earned her fame while fronting the psychedelic rock outfit Big Brother and the Holding Company, was revealed to be receiving a star during the 2013 calendar year alongside such other acts as Jane’s Addiction, late R&B singer Luther Vandross and pop stars Jennifer Hudson, Usher Raymond, Thalia, the Backstreet Boys, and New Kids on the Block.

In addition to her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1995, Joplin was given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement honor in 2005. Sadly, her career was a short one as Big Brother’s first album arrived in 1967 and Joplin passed in 1970.

The actual dates for all of the ceremonies have yet to be revealed. However, Joplin and the other musical inductees will join other Hollywood favorites like actor/director Ron Howard, actors Javier Barden, Viola Davis, James Franco, Helen Mirren, Bryan Cranston, Simon Baker, Jane Lynch, Katey Sagal, Matthew Perry, Olympia Dukakis, comedian/talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, makeup artist Rick Baker, and illusionists Penn & Teller, along with radio vets Steve Harvey and “Shot Gun” Tom Kelly.
