One school in Louisiana thinks they found a way to motivate students and that comes with giving them a day off for their good behavior and performances.

Staff at Baker High recognizes that students have been struggling since the pandemic and one way they think they can motivate their students to do better is by giving them off on Fridays.

Juniors and Seniors at the school will be given off on Fridays in 2025 if they excel in the classroom, on standardized testing, and if they are on best behavior.

Those students who do not meet the criteria will be given a chance to improve their performances so that they too can enjoy the three-day weekend.

Students seem to be already motivated by this incentive as some say that an extra day off would allow them more time to study and even allow more time for extracurricular activities.

So, what do you think about this incentive being offered at Baker High? Is giving a student off a good or bad idea? You can let us know in the comments section.

Here's a full report from Baker High School.
