The excitement has been growing ahead of Thursday's 7 p.m. showdown in Baton Rouge between the No. 9 Tigers (18-2) and No. 1 South Carolina (17-0). College GameDay will take place on campus, and ESPN will air the game live to a national audience.

Since Seimone Augustus' freshman year in 2003, there hasn't been a Women's Basketball game inside of the PMAC that is more eagerly anticipated than this one. LSU eventually overcame all odds to win its first women's basketball championship in April, this contest might even top that. LSU had not yet reached its goal of becoming what Tennessee was in 2003, but it was still a goal. LSU has gone where South Carolina has been and wants to return this time.
