If you're looking for something to do with the kiddos over the weekend, we've got just the thing for you. On Saturday, the Southland Conference will be hosting a kid's event in Lake Charles outside of the Legacy Center.

The Southland Conference Tournament will be taking place inside of the Legacy Center here in Lake Charles starting on Sunday and rolling through Thursday. The McNeese Cowboys have the 1-seed on the Men's side. The Lamar Cardinals have the 1-seed on the Women's Side.

The Southland Conference Kids Dribble, scheduled for Saturday, March 4, at the Legacy Center on the McNeese State University campus, still has space available. It all begins at 10:00 a.m. CST.

The Legacy Center parking lot serves as the starting and finishing point for this free event, which is open to participants aged 3 to 12. Many basketball-dribbling-related activities are part of the celebrations. Highlights also include food and drink, music, inflatables, gift bags, souvenir basketballs, t-shirts, and more.

A free t-shirt, a complimentary basketball, and a ticket voucher to the Jersey Mike's Southland Basketball Championships, presented by LouisianaTravel.com, are given to each participant. Taking place at the Legacy Center from Sunday through Thursday, the tournament features sixteen Southland teams—eight women's and eight men's teams.
