McNeese is Playing Florida in 2023, But You Can’t Buy Tickets in Lake Charles And Here’s Why
Football season will be here before we know it and the McNeese Cowboys are gearing up for an exciting season in The Hole. In 2022, the Pokes finished with a 4-7 overall record under first-year Head Coach Gary Goff. The Cowboys are looking forward to a fun and exciting second season for Coach Goff and the Cowboys.
In 2023, the Cowboys will take on a school from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for just the fifth time in program history. McNeese will take the trip to Gainesville, Florida to take on the Florida Gators in The Swamp on September 9th. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Cowboys and the Gators.
How to Buy McNeese Florida Football Tickets
McNeese fans looking to attend the game in Gainesville won’t be able to purchase tickets like normal at the McNeese Ticket Office. Fans will have to purchase tickets through the Florida Athletics website. Even weirder, Florida has allotted one section for the Cowboy faithful in The Swamp, Section 44. Tickets to the Week Two matchup will be $50 and can be purchased by CLICKING HERE.
For Cowboys fans not making the trip and staying in Lake Charles, the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU. This is the first time the Cowboys have been on national television since the Pokes nearly shocked the world when they lost a heartbreaker to Nebraska in 2014.
