Machinery Truck Flips Over And Damages Progress On New Look Furniture In Lake Charles

The Hurricanes of 2020 damaged a lot of homes, businesses, and livelihoods around the Southwest Louisiana area. Finally, things are kind of beginning to look like Lake Charles again as we continue to rebuild after the storms. One of the businesses that has had to move into a temporary location is New Look Furniture. They are in a temporary location while their building is being built again from the ground up. We were driving around the North Lake Charles area a little earlier Wednesday Morning when he noticed something didn't look quite right. It would appear that something had taken a piece of the New Look Furniture building frame. Look a little closer and you'll see a piece of heavy machinery flipped over on its side.

The piece of machinery is definitely working on the construction of the New Look Furniture building.

Obviously, our main concern with the accident is that everyone involved is okay because this is certainly a scary situation.

Driving through, we were able to get some pictures of the scene.

We are so glad to see a local business getting back on its feet and going again. We truly hope this incident doesn't set them back any further. New Look Furniture is a great asset to the Southwest Louisiana community!
