Garth Brooks made a brief mention of the accusations of sexual assault and battery brought against him during an episode of his Facebook Live program, Inside Studio G.

Although he did respond formally via CNN the same day the lawsuit was revealed last Thursday (Oct. 3), it was the first time he had addressed the claims directly to supporters.

In the opening of his Inside Studio G film, he addressed the charges and issued a warning that he was not allowed to discuss the lawsuit that was now in progress.

This is going to happen. It will happen,he affirms, stating that the litigation process for his case will probably take a while. People are telling me it could be up to two years.

Throughout the remainder of the 25-minute Inside Studio G video, Brooks stayed nothing regarding the accusations. Rather, he talked about his work with Habitat for Humanity, his recent run of residency gigs in Las Vegas, and his unwavering love and thanks for his fans.

Throughout the video, he also made several kind remarks about his wife, Trisha Yearwood. In particular, he commended her dedication to Habitat for Humanity's work and expressed how pleased he was with her ability to use power tools and build stairs.

The Lawsuit States:

  • It is said that both events occurred in 2019.
  • In the first, Roe claims that she was at Brooks' house when he seized her hands and pressed them on his genitalia as he came out of the shower. She also claims that he spoke in a sexually suggestive manner.
  • The second incident is said to have happened while Brooks was in Los Angeles for a Grammy tribute to Sam Moore. In a hotel room, Roe claims Brooks assaulted and sexually assaulted her.
