
Duck Festival Takes Over Gueydan, Louisiana This Weekend Aug. 21-24
[KNGT-FM] - It's almost football season, and people will start turning their attention to the beginning of the season. Still, before you do, you have one more chance to have some fun while attending a great Louisiana festival coming up this weekend.
The legendary Duck Festival is taking place in Gueydan, Louisiana, starting this Thursday and running through Sunday. The festival takes place in downtown Gueydan and lasts for four straight days.
Just a little history about the Duck Festival, it started back in 1977 and has been growing bigger and bigger every year. The signature festival offers one-of-a-kind events and attracts festival goers from all over the state and the country. When you head to the festival this year, you will see some of the biggest local and national musical acts performing live.

This year, the Duck Festival features live music, dog trials, outdoor cooking contests, duck calling contests, skeet shooting contests, and a huge carnival. The entertainment lineup brings in the best local and national talent for four straight days.
