How long has it been now? Seems like forever since I was able to get my Blue Bell fix. Now, being a native Texan means that I grew up with Blue Bell and I can remember those little cups of Blue Bell they sold in the school cafeteria. Today the long drought ends for Blue Bell fans in Louisiana as the tasty treat returns to store shelves across the state.

Now, I wouldn't stand in line to get it, so I hope there's some left on the shelves when I finish my day and get a chance to go stock up.

One person they asked about the return of Blue Bell even waxed poetic about the return says:

‘Twas the Night before Blue Bell and all through the state--store shelves are set to be stocked--officially ending the wait.'

A snack so lovely people came in the store quick-- with just days until Christmas this is clearly from St. Nick.

From Cookies n' Cream to Homemade Vanilla for now there's a limited flavor-- but whatever's available will do when fans have been waiting since summer to savor.

Now that the ice cream has come back into sight-- Merry Christmas to all and to all a good Blue Bell.

Flavors expected to return to Louisiana stores Monday include Buttered Pecan, Cookies 'n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla, the Great Divide, Pistachio Almond and Peppermint.
