Help SW Louisiana Homeless Cats This Winter By Making Blankets
The Calcasieu Parish Library is teaming up with Hobo Hotel to help keep homeless cats across SWLA warm this winter.
They're calling the effort the Hobo Hotel Blanket Project. The Calcasieu Parish Library is calling all cat lovers to unite and help supply blankets for homeless cats this winter.
If you're interested in helping out, you must register with the library between October 4 - October 25.
There are 2 ways to sign up for the Hobo Hotel Blanket Project:
- Phone - (337) 721-7095
- Website - www.calcasieulibrary.org
The program is free and encouraged for all ages to participate. Once you've registered, you can pick up a blanket-making kit at your local Calcasieu Parish Library location from November 1 - November 12. All materials will be provided in your pack with step-by-step instructions on how to make the blanket.
When you've finished making your blanket, you simply put it back into its bag and return it to your local Calcasieu Parish Library on November 17. Library staff will deliver all the blankets to Hobo Hotel in December.
If you choose to make a blanket, please send us a picture via our mobile app so we can write a follow-up article of all your beautiful handy work.
