
Fort Polk: Official Charged With Accepting $25K In Bribes
51-year-old Robert A. Wilson has been charged with taking thousands of dollars in return to secure government contracts in Fort Polk for a Leesville based company.
According to authorities, Wilson, received the bribes from the co-owner of Apeck Construction Inc. between July 2007 and May 2010.
He's being federally charged with 21 counts of receiving an illegal gratuity by a public official.
Wilson was an engineer in Fort Polk's Directorate of Public Works and was the point man for construction contracts and like services on the U.S. Army base.
