A former LSU standout has suffered a season-ending injury.


A native of Houston, Texas, LaFell was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound LaFell was released by the Cincinnati Bengals in early August, after two solid seasons, in which he caught 64 passes in 2017, and 52 last season, before signing with Oakland

This season with the Raiders, Lafell caught 10 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown.

Over parts of 8 NFL seasons, with the Panthers, New England Patriots, Bengals, and Raiders, the 31-year old LaFell has compiled 404 catches for 5,369 yards and 30 touchdowns.

During his collegiate days at LSU, Lafell tallied 175 catches for 2,517 yards and 25 touchdowns.
