Patriots Sign Antonio Brown, Brown Has Big Celebration After Learning Of His Release From Oakland [Video]
The next chapter of the Antonio Brown story will take him to New England, as he has agreed to a 1 year deal with the Patriots, per multiple reports.
Following a short-lived saga in Oakland, where Brown appears to have lost out on $30 million in guaranteed money, he'll have an opportunity to make half of that if he can remain on the Patriots roster for the 2019 season and reach all his incentives.
The last month has kept Brown in the headlines, from frostbite on his feet, to a helmet hold out, to missing all of training camp, to complaining about fines on social media, to a confrontation with his general manager Mike Mayock, to a public request to be released by his team, to releasing a private phone conversation he had with his head coach Jon Gruden, to celebrating his release by the team before playing a single snap for them.
A signing with Bill Belichick and the "Patriot Way" Patriots was predicted by the masses upon news of Brown's release from Oakland this morning, and it didn't take long for it to become reality.
AB shared his excited on social media.
Brown is not eligible to play Sunday when the Pats host his former team in the Pittsburgh Steelers, but can play as early as week 2.
