Don’s Automotive Group Student Athlete of the Week — India Appleton

There's no doubt that this week's Student Athlete will be sorely missed when she leaves St. Louis to take off for college. Her name is India Appleton, and she's a real powerhouse when it comes to sports. India distinguished herself in sports all through her school years, and now is about to graduate and take her talent to college next year.

India is a real triple threat, and competes in cross country, track, and soccer. An interest in sports and athletics is nothing new to India. She tells us that she started running when she was only three, and ran in a fun run that year. The die was obviously cast, and India and her mom ran in various races from time to time. India's family is very sports-oriented, and she has, of course, had a great deal of encouragement her whole life. India told us,

Playing sports at St. Louis has been a great experience, and I have made plenty of friends through it. I am going to be running cross country and track in college.

• All State Cross Country: 9,10,11
• District Soccer Team: 9, 11
• 3200 Meter District Champion: 9,10,11
• Outstanding District Track Athlete: 11
