This could be your lucky day. If you are like the other 20 - Thousand other Louisiana residents, you just might have some money coming from the feds. Now, how cool is that? It seems that, right now, there are unclaimed refunds that should be going out to Louisiana residents.

According to IRS spokesman Bill Brunsom, the tax returns are from the year 2013. Yep, that many people failed to file a tax return that year and some of the refunds are related to that. Brunsom also added that folks actually have three years to file those tax returns. many people don't file because they're afraid they're going to have to pay.

Actually, we're not talking about a ton of money going to each taxpayer. According to Brunson, the average amount owed is right around $763, but isn't a refund better than nothing?

According to the IRS, there are roughly $21 million dollars in unclaimed money just in the state of Louisiana. That's a pretty hefty chunk of change. Now, if you feel that, at least part, of that money might belong to you, it's really easy to get in touch with the IRS. You can check on their website HERE or, you can call the IRS Hotline at 800-829-1040. You know if you don't claim it, it goes back to the government.

Good luck. Do I get a finders fee?
