The DWA, Defense With Attitude, lived up to their reputation in the Cowboy's 55-7 win over Incarnate Word Saturday evening at Cowboy Stadium. McNeese picked of 5 Cardinal's passes, returning 4 for touchdowns to tie a Southland Conference and NCAA record. The Pokes held UIW to 149 total yards in total offense.

The night began slowly for McNeese as Desmond Hite returned the opening kickoff 96 yards to give UIW a 7-0 lead. The offense struggled early for McNeese, scoring just 3 points on a Gunnar Raborn 35 yd FG in the first quarter. Calum Foster returned the first interception 42 yards for a score. Colby Burton followed with a 51 yarder 2 minutes later. James Tabary added a 1 yard run to give the Pokes a 24-7 halftime lead.

Following the homecoming festivities, David Hamm broke free for a 54 yard TD run. Justin Pratt added a 7 yard run to make the score 38-7. Dominique Hill returned an interception 38 yards to make it 45-7 after 3. Raborn's second FG from 30 yards out made it 48-7. Marcus Foster returned the 4th INT from 29 yards away to close out the scoring. Andre Fuller also had an interception for McNeese.

Next up for the Cowboys, a trip to Conway, Arkansas to take on the conference leading Central Arkansas Bears next Saturday evening at 6.
