CVS Health is looking to hire 25,000 nationwide, 500 here in Louisiana in a one-day national career event. Positions, new and existing, will help CVS get back to super-serving its customers and ease the burdens placed on employees due to COVID-19 cutbacks.

As the U.S. head into the fall holidays, CVS Health recognizes the need to hire more employees as stores in Acadiana and across Louisiana start to get busier heading into flu season and heavy shopping months.

The retail giant is looking to fill full-time, part-time and temporary licensed pharmacists, trained pharmacy technicians and nurses. CVS announced it will also be increasing the minimum hourly wage to $15 starting July 2022.

CVS Health is hiring qualified candidates to fill 25,000 clinical and retail jobs during a one-day national career event on Friday, September 24.

These new and existing positions will help the company continue to respond to the needs of communities across the country during the fall and winter months when the incidence of flu is expected to increase and as COVID-19 vaccination and testing remain in high demand, officials say.

In addition to full-time, part-time and temporary licensed pharmacists, trained pharmacy technicians and nurses, in Louisiana, the chain will also be looking to hire retail associates.
