CSE Federal Credit Union helps provide free calls home for troops
I come from a family of 6 boys. I am the youngest of those 6 boy nineteen years and when I tell you there is a major gap, take my word for it. All of my brothers went into some form of military immediately out of school As a matter of fact, my oldest brother was active until the day he passed back in 1990.
Good news for families of military and also those in the military. CSE Federal Credit Union is partnering with Cell Phones for Soldiers to help provide troops with free calls home to their loved one. There are as many as 200,000 troops currently active in the military and we can all do something to assist during their time in their various destinations. Beginning today you can donate your phone or tablet to any area CSE Credit Union branches, including the Lake Charles, Sulphur, Moss Bluff and Jennings locations.
Cell Phones For Soldiers was founded in 2004 by innovative teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist at the ages of 12 and 13. They provided more than 400 million minutes of free time to a multitude of servicemen and women around the world. What started off as a great initiative by some young heartfelt teenagers has blossomed to something that not only has created closer bonds with families, but has helped time away from families seem a little more bearable. If you would like to help in any way, visit cellphonesforsoldiers.com, or check out their Facebook and Twitter pages.
