Crews Preparwe for Krewes Parade {VIDEO}
Traveling north or south in Lake Charles has generally meant a trip on Ryan Street. Please take alternate routes today as city crews place barricades for this afternoon's Krew of Krewes Parade.
At 7:30 this morning the temperature was 34 and the wind chill was 27. Normally by this time there are at least a dozen grills cooking on Ryan Street. This morning there was only one. While the cold weather may have discouraged Mardi Gras revelers from cooking breakfast along the parade route ... city crews were out in the cold turning the normally four lane Ryan Street into a two lane parade route. They were placing barricades out on the line that normally separates the inside and outside lanes. This video shows you what the route will look like for the Krew of Krewes Pqrade that is set to roll at five today.
