There's "more than just weeds" growing in Moss Bluff...

KPLC reports that the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has confirmed that plants growing by the red light on U.S. 171 near Moss Bluff are, indeed, Marijuana plants.

The CPSO is still unsure of exactly how the plants got there, but Cmdr. Matt Vezinot of the sheriff's office says, "My best guess would be somebody might have thrown it out of  to the window and the seeds landed. Apparently, recently, they did some work - some dirt work here - they did put some signal lights, and maybe through turning over the soil or something might have germinated the seeds maybe - that's my best guess."

According to KPLC, the plants have been destroyed. Find out more on this story on the KPLC website.
