Tommy Byrd, 43, was a dealer at the Isle of Capri Casino, but was arrested this past Sunday when he was caught pocketing chips from the table. Byrd was arrested for felony theft according to a Louisiana State Police spokesperson.

The casino had been watching Byrd fairly closely for a few weeks and even contacted state police about their suspicions kicking off an investigation into the matter. When video footage was played back, it showed Byrd taking casino chips and sliding them into his sleeve.

Byrd was placed under arrest and was found to have $825 in casino chips on his person. Byrd was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He may be facing further charges and no bond has been set in his case as yet.
