
Southwest Louisiana Faces Burn Bans As Dry Weather Continues
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Dry ground conditions and high winds have lead to several burn bans across SWLA.
Any trash, waste, leaves, twigs, branches, or debris of any type cannot be burned outdoors due to the restrictions. On private land, it is permitted to use personal, regulated outdoor cooking equipment or small, constructed fire pits.

Where Are The Burn Bans In SWLA?
KPLC is reporting that several burn bans around SWLA have been lifted, however, the ban in Beauregard Parish (issued Oct. 13) is still in effect.
Burns from the Department of Agriculture and Forestry Departments are exempt from the orders.

The following parishes have lifted their burn bans:
- Vernon (lifted Oct. 27)
- Calcasieu (lifted Oct. 27)
- Allen (lifted Oct. 27)
- Jeff Davis (lifted Oct. 27)
