Brian Wilson is ready to get back on the road, months after postponing his summer tour to deal with mental health issues.

"Brian’s been feeling 100% better and wanted to let his fans know before his upcoming tour," according to his official site. Wilson added a note thanking "everyone for your cards and best wishes. Your concern and love just blows me away. I’m feeling much better and I look forward to seeing you when we start up our tour on August 7!”

Wilson's decades-long struggle with mental illness has been well-documented. When he underwent three more recent back surgeries, however, Wilson said the experience left him "feeling strange and it's been pretty scary for awhile. I was not feeling like myself. Mentally insecure is how I'd describe it."

During rehearsals for this tour, "it crept back and I've been struggling with stuff in my head and saying things I don't mean and I don't know why. It's something I've never dealt with before and we can't quite figure it out just yet."

The rescheduled dates, set to feature the last full-album performances of the Beach Boys classic Pet Sounds, now bookend the Something Great From '68 shows, which will run between Aug. 31 and Sept. 28. Wilson will spotlight his former band's 1968 record Friends during his set while opening act the Zombies will play their 1968 masterpiece Odessey and Oracle in its entirety.

Wilson will now be on tour through Oct. 2.
