
Blue Angels Likely To Perform In Lake Charles, Louisiana In 2026
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, better known as the Blue Angels, could possibly be performing in Lake Charles next year.
As preparations get underway for a major aviation event, a two-person Blue Angel crew landed in Lake Charles today.

Why were the Blue Angels flying around Lake Charles today?
KPLC is reporting that prior to the Thunder Over Louisiana air show, pilot Lieutenant Ronny Hafeza and naval flight officer Lieutenant Commander Lilly Montana are here to assess the site.
Lt. Commander Montana told KPLC:
Being able to see firsthand where our show site is set up is going to be, as well as meeting with the air show organizers, airfield representatives, and community leaders invested in producing an air show, really is invaluable.

Why are the Blue Angels in Lake Charles?
Chennault’s executive director, Colonel Kevin Melton told KPLC that this is a very significant step in the planning for the upcoming air show.
According to the organizers, the Blue Angels will be touring the facilities in order to gather information about the crowd, surroundings, and equipment required for the event.
When is the Thunder Over Louisiana air show?
Also, according to the organizers, this will be one of the biggest aviation events ever held in Southwest Louisiana.
