Unfortunately, we won't be having the Ethel Precht walk this month and the recent news is that The Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer Foundation has dissolved and will donate the assets to the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Foundation seems to leave a void that many families and friends looked forward to. This was the time of the year where we all could come together and celebrate the lives of our loved ones who we lost to the deadly disease Cancer.

The Biking for a cause Breast Cancer Awareness Ride will be on Saturday October 30. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Susan G Komen Foundation for Cancer research as they continue to rid the world of this treacherous disease. I lost my Grandmother to Cancer and I have lost so many great friends and people in my life who have lost the battle to cancer as well. There will also be a bike raffle as well for $10, with your chance to win a limited edition Susan G. Komen's "More Than Pink Bicycle".
