Arrest Made After Video Posted Shows 5-Year-Old Smoking Weed

The Baton Rouge Police Department made an arrest on Tuesday after a video surfaced on social media of a child smoking marijuana.

BRPD announced that they arrested 48-year-old John Hall on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Authorities said the suspect used to date one of the child's relatives.

In the video, Hall is seen handing the marijuana cigarette to the boy in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The child was only five years old at the time.

Police said the child was Hall's ex-girlfriend's grandson.

Baton Rouge Police Spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely said the department became aware of the video two weeks and immediately launched an investigation.

Sadly, the boy was involved in an accidental shooting just last month that left him and another child injured. That shooting led to the arrest of his mom, 26-year-old Desiree Felder.

Hall, on the other hand, was taken into custody late Tuesday morning.
