Another DWI Checkpoint This Weekend

These DWI checkpoints are coming more often now. There is no argument that they make our roads safer. The goal of the program is to remove impaired drivers from the road before they hurt themselves or others. Here are the details on the one this weekend.

This Saturday the Louisiana State Police will have a DWI checkpoint in Calcasieu Parish from sometime around 9 p.m. till 3 a.m.. The checkpoint will be at an undisclosed location. Please designate a driver before you start drinking. Support for this checkpoint is provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission. Remember to report impaired driving at *LSP.
