A Louisiana Man Missing for More Than Six Months Was Found
A Louisiana man who was reported missing more than six months ago has now been found in California according to a post from the Lake Arthur Police Department.
According to KPLC, officials with the Lake Arthur Police Department have said the man was found on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The last time his family heard from Justin Parsley was in August 2022.
Officials are not releasing further details about the man other than to say he was located and they say he is safe.
Lake Arthur Police Department officials said on Facebook they appreciated the help from the community in reference to the search for Parsley

Lake Arthur Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating Justin Parsley, 44, of Lake Arthur. He also goes by the name Justin Kelly. He drives a gray Ford Mustang with a black stripe. Parsley's last contact with family was at the end of August.
Parsley is 5'8" and approximately 260 lbs.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Justin Parsley is asked to contact Lake Arthur Police Department at 337-774-2411.
The World Population Review says that some 266 have been reported missing in Louisiana. According to their information for the year 2021, there were 521,705 missing people cases in Louisiana. Of that number, more than 485,000 cases were resolved.
The state with the highest rate of missing people is Alaska with 42.16 missing people per 100,000 each year. Louisiana has a much lower rate than Alaska with 5.84 missing people per 100,000 each year.
Still, Louisiana is 15th among the 50 states for the highest rate of missing people.
