Those high-heeled boots aren’t exactly made for walkin’.  A new study found that women who wear high heels are putting themselves at risk of muscle injury.

While those five-inch Louboutins may look hot, wearing them day after day can shorten the muscle fibers in the calves and stiffen the Achilles tendon.  This can affect the wearer’s gait and cause muscle fatigue as well as increased risk of injury.  Experts advise women cut back on their heel-wearing, but you know what they say…beauty is pain!
