Judge Candidates Forum Tonight

The League of Women Voters of Lake Charles will host a candidates forum for District Judge tonight for candidates for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, and 14th Judicial District Judge Divisions A & G.

 The Forum will be held in the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Government Building located at 1015 Pithon Street, Lake Charles and will begin at 6:00 PM.  The forum will be held in the Police Jury Meeting Room on the first floor.

The purpose of the forum is to give each candidate an opportunity to address a wide range of issues and for the voters to get to know each of the candidates.  As a nonpartisan political organization, the League of Women Voters believes it is their responsibility to raise public awareness on election issues.  A public forum for all candidates to share their priorities for our community is an effective means of achieving this goal.

 The League of Women Voters provides voter information to the public and encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
