While Tropical Storm Edouard churns away in the North Atlantic, forecasters are keeping an eye on an area of disturbed weather, now over Florida, that could strengthen as it enters the Gulf of Mexico

The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor an area of weak low pressure over the northern Gulf of Mexico, south of the Louisiana coastline, for possible tropical development.
