Remember Our Veterans

All our veterans deserve our respect and appreciation. This weekend, be sure to fly your flag and, if you can, take part in one of the area Veteran's Day activities. If you know a veteran, give them a call and tell them how much you appreciate what they've have done for our country!

Here a a couple of local Veteran's Day events:

In Lake Charles on Saturday, November 10th at 10 a.m.

On Saturday, November 10th at Veteran's Memorial Park there will a Veteran's Day celebration. This year, the ceremony will pay tribute to the service and contributions to past and present women in the military. The tribute will feature an address by Maj. Rhonda Sullivan, ANC, U.S. Army (Ret)

Following the celebration there will be a gumbo cook-off just behind the Lake Charles Civic Center as well as a Kids Fun Zone"
