2013 Art Walk Friday — Downtown

Spring Art Walk 2013 will be Friday from 5PM – 9PM, and will showcase area artists in pop-up galleries, feature live art demonstrations, both an Adult and a new Kid’s Art Battle, great food, live music, an Outdoor Art Market, a Pub Crawl, low-cost pedicab and carriage rides, and plenty of surprise public art and installation pieces. It's a free event for the whole family!

For one night, downtown businesses, restaurants, cafe’s, vacant buildings and even alleyways will be transformed into trendy art galleries. These “pop up” galleries will feature the best visual artists the region has to offer.

Live music will echo through downtown, venues will serve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, bars will have drink specials, and locals can also experience our annual Art Battle where teams of artists compete to create a mural live in front of an audience in only an hour. Don’t miss the new Student Art Battle!

The Spring Art Walk is a great opportunity for artists and businesses alike, and this partnership between the arts and businesses has the potential to better sustain the downtown community through reinforcing its image as a gravitational center for arts, culture, and revenue.
