LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: The McNeese Cowboys will be staying home this weekend when they battle Alcorn State in a very pivotal game of the season. We'll have your chance to win a pair of tickets to the game all this week with Mikey O in the Afternoon.

The Pokes are coming off a very big win against their first conference opponent in 2024. They bested Stephen F. Austin with a touchdown with 31 seconds left in the game to take the win 28-24 versus the Lumberjacks.

This week the Cowboys take on the Braves of Alcorn State.  McNeese is 0-2 against the Braves in the last two meetings and lost last season 17-3. The Pokes will be looking for another hard-fought victory this Saturday in The Hole and improve to over .500 with a 3-2 record.
