Last year, American rockers Weezer shocked the musical world with their surprise cover of Toto's "Africa."  Toto responded in kind with a cover of Weezer's "Hash Pipe."  I walked away from this very cool moment of cooperation between rock bands thinking that it was just that - a moment.  How very wrong I was.

Weezer just released a surprise album of extremely popular cover songs called simply titled Weezer (The Teal Album).  It's pretty awesome.  I spent the better part of this morning listening to (in my humble opinion) some of the greatest covers of some of the greatest songs from TLC, Michael Jackson, Black Sabbath, a-ha, Electric Light Orchestra, and of course Toto.  Here's the full track-list courtesy of Pitchfork.com:

Weezer (The Teal Album)

01 Africa (Toto)
02 Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears)
03 Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) (The Eurythmics)
04 Take On Me (a-ha)
05 Happy Together (The Turtles)
06 Paranoid (Black Sabbath)
07 Mr. Blue Sky (Electric Light Orchestra)
08 No Scrubs (TLC)
09 Billie Jean (Michael Jackson)
10 Stand By Me (Ben E. King)
