As far as music goes, two of the biggest names in Louisiana have teamed up for a one-night-only concert at the end of July here in Louisiana.

Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco star and Grammy award winner Wayne Toups have joined forces with one of the hottest Country music artists out there, Frank Foster, for a big concert on July 30th.

Frank Foster is also a Louisiana boy born and raised in Cypress Botton, Louisiana. Wayne Toups of course is from Crowley, Louisiana.  They will be playing a huge concert on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 in Gonzales, Louisiana at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.

Wayne Toups is like the George Strait or hank Williams of Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco music. He has a Grammy award to his credit and a ton of iconic Louisiana music hits. Take My Hand, That's What I Love About My baby, Johnny Can't Dance, Standing In The Rain, Please Explain and the list goes and on and on.  You get the point, he is a legend.

Frank Foster is an independent country artist and he likes it that way. He has been offered multiple recording contracts from Nashville but has remained true to himself and stayed independent and has had major success doing it his way.

The proof is in the pudding. According to Wikipedia,

Southern Soul sold 6,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at number 11 on the BillboardTop Country Albums chart and number 67 on the Billboard 200.Rhythm and Whiskey debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the Hot Country Albums chart, with 9,000 copies sold in the US the first week.

Both of these iconic artists will join up on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 in Gonzales, Louisiana at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center with a special guest, The Chase Tyler Band. Tickets are on sale now. Here is the link.
