The penalty was definitely a late game changer. It determined possession and mad a 15 yard difference in field position for the Saints. The San Francisco defensive player is crying foul. Does he have a point or not.

You watch the video and decide. It is obvious that Brooks shoulder pads hit Drew Brees in the head. You can see Drews head snap. Later you could see blood on his helmet. Without the penalty it would be San Francisco's ball and the game would in all likelihood  be over. The question is if the hit was not high ... would Drew have lost the ball? Would the Saints have somehow won without the penalty? We will never know.

We have seen our share of penalties work against the Saints and in the scheme of things it really does not matter. San Francisco had chances to put the game away earlier and didn't. I hate when reporters claim that one play decided a game because they truly never do.
