Celebrate Vinton’s 108th birthday at the 2018 Vinton Heritage Festival.

The annual event on Saturday, Oct. 13, celebrates the town’s rich history with plenty of live music, rides, food vendors, door prizes, crafts, free laser tag, pony rides, fun jumps, rock wall, and other activities, including a visit by Southwest Louisiana’s goodwill ambassador Gumbeaux Gator.

There will be handmade cypress furniture, homemade sweets and jellies and the “Cornmeal Man” will be on hand to demonstrate corn grinding. Band lineup to be announced.

The festival will be held 10am - 8pm in downtown Vinton, at the corners of Center and Horridge streets. Coolers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Bring your lawn chairs and your friends and family out for this Southwest Louisiana mainstay.

Admission and parking are free. For more festival information, contact Vinton City Hall at 337-589-7453 or Debbi McBride at 337-302-2568 or email mayor_assistant@cityofvinton.com.
