Video Of ‘Zombie Karen’ Trying To Break Into A Louisiana Bar
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: A drunk woman in Louisiana tried to bash through a glass door to get into a bar the other night, and someone got it on video.
It all started when Zombie Karen was refused service from the bar. She ended up with a cut on her head and got arrested. It's the stares she's giving through the window that is earning her the nickname, "Zombie Karen."
The video below is NSFW.
This is frightening, that a person can be so wasted enough to act like that. Apparently, this happened at a bar in Houma, Louisiana. Normally this is the kind of stuff you would see happening in Florida.
As crazy as this video is, someone please give the bar patron that's doing the play-by-play in the background an Emmy or ESPY award or both.
Does The U.S. Government Have A Plan To Fight Zombies?
Yes, the U.S. government actually does have a zombie preparedness plan—though it’s more of a thought exercise than a real strategy. In 2011, the Department of Defense created CONPLAN 8888, also known as the Counter-Zombie Dominance Plan. It was developed by military planners at U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) as a training tool for thinking about unorthodox threats.
Purpose of CONPLAN 8888:
- It was designed to train military strategists in developing contingency plans for a variety of crises.
- It provides guidance on defending against and eradicating zombies in a hypothetical outbreak.
- The plan includes different types of zombies, such as pathogen-infected zombies, radiation zombies, and even evil magic zombies (seriously).
While it’s not an actual government policy, it was used as an exercise in creating emergency response strategies, similar to how agencies prepare for natural disasters or pandemics. The CDC even jumped on the zombie trend around the same time, launching a “Zombie Preparedness” campaign to promote emergency readiness.
So, while there isn’t a real plan for fighting off a zombie apocalypse, the government has definitely had some fun using the concept as a way to improve strategic thinking.
