U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds to Perform at Chennault Airshow

The Chennault International Airshow announced yesterday during their press conference that the next airshow's headliner will be the Air Force Demonstration Squadron better known as the Thunderbirds.

Based at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, the Thunderbirds have been around since 1951, making them the third-oldest flying team in the world. Just like the Blue Angels, they tour the world performing for various airshows to show off the skill and ability of the USAF.

Officers of the squadron serve on the team serve for two years, while enlisted personnel serves up to four years. Since its beginning, the Thunderbirds have performed in front of over 300 million people and counting.

Now, we will be able to see them once again in Lake Charles when the Chennault International Air Show returns on June 3 and 4 of 2023. It might feel like a long time to wait, but with a performance from the Thunderbirds coming, it will certainly be worth it!
