This year has been a tough one. We have dealt with a global pandemic and two hurricanes hitting the Southwest Louisiana area.

The rebuilding process started after we were hit by Category 4 Hurricane Laura. We were just getting things back online like electricity and working to get our houses rebuilt when six weeks later, here came Hurricane Delta.

Whatever Laura didn't destroy, Hurricane Delta took care of and just put us back to square one all over again. So much assistance is needed in the Southwest Louisiana area still, and that is why we wanted to pass along a reminder about the deadline to apply for assistance.

FEMA has announced the deadline to apply for assistance for hurricane Delta is coming up on Wednesday, December 16. Assistance is still available for temporary housing, rental assistance, and repair or replacement of damaged property.
