It's a night of funny skits, crazy songs and a lot of jokes at the expense of local celebrities. No politician goes unscathed when Gridiron rolls around. Well, get ready for a great night of laughter, fun and food, because it's Gridiron 45 this Saturday at the Buccaneer Room at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Starting at 6pm Saturday, there will be a social where you can meet a lot of the people being roasted on stage. Of course, there's going to be great food and plenty of it, as area restaurants will be presenting their best dishes before the cast gets up on stage at 7:30 and dishes out the dirt.

If you've never been to a Gridiron show, here's a great description from the Ad and Press Club:

Gridiron, the annual night of skits, songs and laughter, is the show that the American Press called “the ‘Saturday Night Live’ of Southwest Louisiana.” It’s a local tradition! The fundraiser pokes fun at local and state newsmakers and the media through skits, songs, monologues and videos. Proceeds from Gridiron benefit the Ad and Press Club Scholarships at McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College.

You don't have to be up on politics to enjoy the show! If you live in the area, you'll get all the jokes at the expense of all the area movers and shakers.
