Daryl Hall, John Oates To Receive The Music Icon Award
TV Land has announced that platinum recording artists and the pioneers of “Rock ‘N Soul,” Daryl Hall and John Oates, will receive the Music Icon Award at the TV Land Awards 2011. The duo will also perform some of their most popular songs that topped the pop charts throughout the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. With eight No. 1 singles including “Rich Girl,” “Private Eyes” and “Maneater,” Daryl Hall and John Oates have sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Their musical legacy continues today, with their classic tunes featured in films such as “The Fighter” and “500 Days of Summer” and the hit TV shows “Glee” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” The TV Land Awards 2011 will be held on April 10th in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and airs April 17th.
