The surviving members of the '60s mega hit band are coming to Lake Charles next year and their bringing all their hits and stories about their TV show.

The Monkees formed in 1966 in Hollywood, California.  They were cast to a TV show to cash in on the popularity of The Beatles.  Dolenz described The Monkees as initially being "a TV show about an imaginary band that wanted to be the Beatles that was never successful". Ironically, the success of the show led to the actor-musicians becoming one of the most successful bands of the '60s.  They've sold over 75 million records.

Hear their greatest hits of all time:

  • Last Train to Clarksville

The Monkees will be taking the Grand Event Center stage on Friday April 24, 2020 at 8:30pm at the Golden Nugget.
