The Molly Ringwalds Performing For Free Tonight In Lake Charles
The wildly popular cover band, The Molly Ringwalds, will be playing tonight in Lake Charles for free at an awesome event.
The band will be playing live at the Civic Center tonight for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event.
Relay for Life is a festival-like event that features food, activities, fireworks, and entertainment. It's a celebration of cancer survivors, caregivers, and to help raise donations for cancer research. All funds raised support the American Cancer Society’s mission to free the world from cancer.
The event is free to the public and everyone in SWLA is encouraged to attend this wonderful festival.
- When: Tonight May 13
- Where: Lake Charles Civic Center

The Relay For Life movement began over 35 years ago, symbolizing the concept that cancer patients suffer through the darkest hours of the night. Teams formed, taking turns walking the track throughout the night, alternating so that someone from each team was always on the track throughout the event. This reflected the role of caregivers stepping in to help carry the load when the journey became tiresome, yet never giving up.
Service animals are welcome, however, pets are not permitted.
Other items not permitted at the event:
- Smoking
- Alcohol
- Bikes
- Skateboards
- Skates
Remember to bring your own lawn chairs and get ready to have a blast with the whole family.
