The TV show Night Court was always one of my favorite shows back in the day. Maybe it was the quirky characters, the sharp-witted writing, the often overt references to Louisiana and New Orleans or maybe it was Harry Anderson. The actor who played the whimsical but always impartial Judge Harry Stone.

The late actor will be in New Orleans, at least in spirit on Lundi Gras when the Krew of Fools parade rolls through the Crescent City.

Anderson was chosen by the Krewe to be their posthumous and spiritual leader for this years Mardi Gras Parade for two main reasons. The actor was very active in the city's post Katrina recovery and he got his start doing magic and performing on the streets.

If you weren't aware, the Krewe of Fools is made up of street performers and magicians. The kind of people that I believe Harry Anderson would love to be associated with.

The Krewe of Fools Parade is set to roll in New Orleans Monday afternoon. They will be easily recognized since the entire Krewe dresses in the fashion of their king or leader.

So be on the lookout for at least 35 or maybe even more Judge Harry Stones offering whimsy and magic and a love of life and love of New Orleans and Mardi Gras for all who attend.

Parade time is 2:30
