The Honest Trailer for Shrek

I don't know if you've seen any of the "honest Trailer" series or not. Generally speaking, what they do is promote things about the movies as they really are. If you take away all the Hollywood hyperbole and add some realistic dialogue about what the movie is really about, you've the "honest trailer.

Let's face it. As good as Disney and Pixar movies are, they do have a very definite formula and it's that formula that makes for most of the humor in this video. Of course, it can also take away from the enjoyment from the movie as well. let's face it if you watch a movie knowing it's a formula piece, you're going to be watching and noticing such things.
