The Best Stop In Scott, Louisiana Is Opening A Location In Katy, Texas

The Best Stop, a South Louisiana favorite, in Scott is opening a brand new location in Texas and we have all the details.

The Best Stop is best known for its delicious boudin, sausages, cracklins, sauces, spices, plate lunches, and so much more.  Now they're taking their Cajun favorites to Texas.

Lawrence Menard and Rober Cormier opened up The Best Stop on November 1, 1986 and the rest of the story is South Louisiana history.

They posted on their Instagram and Facebook pages today that their new location in Katy, TX is coming soon.

They say that Katy, TX was their most requested city for a new location.  I find that hard to believe. People in South Louisiana know all too well the goodness that is The Best Stop.  So to say that Katy, TX beat out requests from fans in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, or even New Orleans?  I think not.

Our Sports Director, Patrick Frey, told me today that the largest concentration of LSU sports fans outside of Louisiana is in Houston, TX. With that being said, I think that maybe they thought that the best city for their third location would be where there are a lot of possible ex-Louisiana residents or just Houston-area residents who are Cajun at heart.

I wish The Best Stop the best of luck and nothing but success in Katy. If someone from the company is reading this, you might think about opening up an LSU merch store section in your new location to capitalize on the large number of Tiger sports fans in the area.

It also looks like The Best Stop isn't stopping in Katy.  In August of last year, they posted that they will also have plans of opening locations in The Woodlands, and New Braunfels.
