Ten Things Louisiana People Hate Most About Winter
Not sure if you have gotten the word yet, but we have a cold front blustering its way here into Louisiana by this weekend.
Low temperatures are going to drop into thirties Saturday and will stay on the cold side for the foreseeable future.
While it's great news for all of us deer hunters, there are plenty of people around here that will have a bone to pick with Old Man Winter.
Speaking of winter, the first day doesn't come for a full six weeks on December 21, but looking at The Weather Channel's ten day forecast, it will be hard to prove that winter hasn't already arrived.
And while I do enjoy the cold weather for deer hunting purposes, that's the only thing I like about it, and I have determined I'm certainly not alone in my disdain for winter.
And I love watching all the Alaskan shows on The History Channel. "Life Below Zero", "The Last Alaskans", "Mountain Men", yeah, they've got me hooked. And while I think I'd love to live a primitive, "Off Grid" lifestyle, I can only marvel at those who do it in the temperatures these people endure. Not this boy! Nope! If it gets below 70, I'm looking for a jacket.
Contrary to those who would say, "you can put more clothes on, but there's laws against taking too many off," I can tolerate 100 degrees way better than 50 degrees.
In an article from The Sun they listed the things people hate most about winter and I've discovered that these are the exact things we hate most about it around here.
